Very sad that our fair city saw to not help keep this program alive.
Saved a lot of teens and youth from "street life!"

Good Afternoon Friends and Family. As you may have heard by now, the City of New Bedford is reappropriating the building at 593 Kempton St. and requiring that all programs move their locations by March 31, 2018. This affects The Red Cross, Youthbuild and us. We have had a home in the community at the Kempton Street location for 7 years and have been blessed by the space and kindness of the City of New Bedford in donating it to us for this time period. Now, we are in the process of looking for a new home because the services we provide to the youth of the community are vital, necessary and cannot be diminished or cease. Art, Music, Dance, & Creative Expression as a whole are a deterrent to crime, combat depression and anxiety, and provide, what we believe to be the greatest service of all, an understanding of self. A child who is comfortable in its own skin knows no limits. This is what a little improvisational acting program I attended as a teen did for me and this is the gift I wish to impart on the youth you entrust us with. Help us find a new home to continue the legacy of art.

Thank You,
Daniel B. Watson
Executive Director
