Run For Hunters Heart

It’s Hunter’s 10 year heartiversary today! 10 years ago he joined the zipper club at only 29 days old. He has come a long way. Run for Hunter’s Heart is going to make his 10 year celebration a memorable one. Look for more activity here and lots more info to come on what will be happening with RFHH.

Happy to report that Hunter’s mom finished her first half marathon on team Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island! It was challenging but so rewarding. Hopefully there will be more to come and that run for hunters heart continues to support children and families with congenital heart disease. Thank you to everyone who supported this race!

Today is the last day of make a wish month. Make a wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island have filled over 10,000 wishes since it started. Those wishes are a life line for families going through their worst nightmares. For a lot of families it is the only family vacation they will ever have or an event that the family would never be able to achieve without your help. Every donation helps get a family hope of making it through. It gives there a little light in a dark place. From a wish mom herself it was like getting a breath of air when you feel like you’re drowning. If you can donate any amount please do so and help make a wish come true for a sick child.

Plans have changed sightly for Hunter’s mom. Instead of running the providence marathon (it was cancelled) she is running the Maine coast marathon the same weekend. If you can donate to her fundraising for make a wish it would help kids like Hunter get a chance to have a wish filled!

Every Wednesday night in March Joes Original Kitchen + Bar will be donating 15% of dinner sales to support Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and my marathon journey!! I am beyond grateful. If you are looking for a delicious meal that you get to support a great cause at the same time I highly encourage you to dine in or take out. They have some amazing salads, healthy simply grilled options, great pizza and of course the bread. 🤤

Run for hunters heart is taking a slight shift temporarily. We still hope to one day become a non profit that helps other families impacted by congenital heart disease. Right now we are shifting to help another amazing organization. In 2019 hunter was granted an amazing trip by Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I am happy to announce that Nicky (Hunter’s mom) will be running the Providence Marathon on team Make-a-wish. There are some great events coming up to help support this wonderful cause.
