13 folks spent a couple hours on Upper Broad Creek at Lee's Landing 3/22/26. It was a beautiful Sunday with lots of sunshine and a bit of wind on the way home. All were accounted for at the end of the paddle! Thanks Len and Sharon for taking this onπ, and Linda Mews for the pics.

River Bend loop 11/15/25. 12 members spent a very pleasant couple hours making the loop from River Bend to the Trent to Rocky Run Creek and back. The water was very low, but we were able to make it down all the cut-throughs without bottoming out. We saw eagles, hawks, herons, kingfishers, and lots of songbirds and woodpeckers. And there is still pretty color in the trees. Thanks to all who support these trips and enjoy getting out on the water.

Pollocksville paddle 10/25/25. A beautiful day on the Trent with 14 members, comfortable temps and blue skies. We found some pretty colors and the water was surprisingly clear. Life is good, time on the water with friends makes it even better.

As the weather cools down, now is the time to get outdoors! Eastern North Carolina's waterways are one of our best natural resources, and there's no better way to explore them than on a kayak.
This one-day Beginner Kayak Clinic will introduce paddlers to the basics of safe paddling, including how to transport boats, enter and exit, and navigate while on the water. Spaces are limited, so sign up quick on our website at cravencounty.recdesk.com!

So many flowers today, where have all the butterflies gone? Really pretty day on the Trent River near River Bend, glassy water and clear blue skies.

Lee's Landing, 7/5/25. Upper Broad Creek never disappoints. Today was cooler and there was a refreshing breeze. And we beat the storms. And good company. And ice cream! Great day.

15 members from all over Eastern NC spent a beautiful morning on Core Creek in Dover. We had a sweet canine es**rt, Olive, and 4 screaming loud fighter pilots to welcome us back to the launch site. (Where did those come from?!?). The creek was a little high so Terry didn't have to pull us over any beaver dams. It was a very nice day, thanks to all who participated.
