Join us for our 17-week training program with a target race of the scenic and fun Two Rivers Half Marathon.

Who is it for?
Anyone who would like a structured program and the opportunity to train alongside others while building lifelong friendships is welcome to join. All paces and experience levels are encouraged to participate, including beginners.

Congratulations to these local athletes for earning scholarship funds from the New Braunfels Running Club. Supporting programs like this is another great reason to participate in the Wurst 5-miler and other local races.

Congratulations to our 2025-2026 Scholarship winners.
With the success of the 2025 Wurst 5-miler race, the New Braunfels Running Club (NBRC) was able to award $7,500 in high school scholarships. NBRC treasurer Vicki Ralph and NBRC president Paul Schaefer presented the scholarships recently. Pictured from left to right are Ralph, scholarship winners Franea Olmos of New Braunfels High School, Carlee Sturm of Canyon High School, Mollie Allen of Canyon High School, Ellie Huf of Canyon High School, Alexis Gillette of Canyon High School and Schaefer. The Wurst 5-miler race is held annually on the first Saturday of Wurstfest. This year, the race is scheduled for Nov. 7. Money raised during the event not only provides scholarships to entering college students, but it also provides funds to the CHS, NBHS and Long Creek High School cross country teams.
