We’re open this weekend! Come float the Comal with us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am to 3pm. Fall is one of the best times to be on the river, with cooler air, fewer crowds, and that spring-fed water staying the same as always.

Cold front’s rolling in with highs in the 60s, so we’ll be closed for the next few days. We’ll let you know as soon as we’re back on the river.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will be closed until the weather event passes. We will reopen once the weather is safe and the river has been evaluated for proper floating conditions.

Summer is winding down but we are not closing up anytime soon! We plan to stay open as long as the weather cooperates and honestly this might be the best time of year to come out. The crowds start thinning out after Labor Day and that means easier parking, a quieter river, and a much more relaxed float. If you have been meaning to get out here all summer this is your window. Come enjoy it!

This is one of the last big float weekends of the summer and the weather is looking great all the way through Monday

Here is your weekend outlook per weather.gov

Friday: Partly sunny, high near 95. Small chance of showers early and late but nothing to worry about during float hours.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, high near 97. Storms possible after 1pm so get here early
Sunday: Mostly sunny, high near 98. Same story, mornings are your sweet spot.
Labor Day Monday: Mostly sunny, high near 98. Clean float day from start to finish.

Before you head out this weekend:

Can ban is in effect. No disposable containers, cans, plastic bottles, chip bags, or food wrappers on the river. Repack everything into reusable containers before you arrive.

No double tubes. City ordinance limits tubes to 5 feet in diameter or less.

Carpool if you can! Arrive before 11AM on Saturday with 5 or more people in one vehicle and get a free tube rental:

School season is just around the corner but the Comal River is not done yet! We typically stay open through October and even later if the weather cooperates. Get a few more floats in before the school year takes over. Doors open at 9AM, see you on the river!
