It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that Valhallan Esports New Braunfels has officially closed its doors.

We are deeply sorry for how sudden this became and for the inconvenience and disappointment it may have caused our families, players, and community supporters.

Over the past months, we have had the privilege of getting to know so many incredible gamers and families. We watched friendships form, confidence grow, leadership develop, and skills improve both in and out of the game. Those memories will stay with us forever.

This community meant far more to us than just esports. It became a family.

To every parent who trusted us with their kids, every gamer who walked through our doors, every coach, supporter, and friend — thank you. Truly.

We will miss hearing the excitement in the arena, the celebrations after victories, the teamwork, the laughter, and seeing all of your gamers each week.

Thank you, New Braunfels, for welcoming us into your community and allowing us to be part of your lives.

🎮 Gaming History Spotlight

In 2004, Halo 2 launched with built-in online matchmaking, making it easy for players around the world to compete against each other instantly. This was one of the first major steps toward modern competitive gaming systems — introducing ranking, matchmaking, and global competition in a way that helped shape how esports is played today.

Great players aren’t just reacting — they’re constantly filtering information.

Identify what information actually matters, Ignore distractions and noise, Prioritize targets, positioning, and objectives

The difference between average and high-level play often comes down to what you pay attention to – not just how fast you react.

This skill is often times the deciding factor between what makes a good player and a great player

At Valhallan Esports Training, we coach players to process information.

In structured esports programs, players learn to balance practice, schoolwork, and personal time. With set schedules and expectations, they begin to understand how to prioritize responsibilities and stay organized.

Over time, students develop habits that help them manage deadlines, stay consistent, and take ownership of how they spend their time — skills that benefit them far beyond gaming.

There’s a big difference between casual gaming and coached esports.

In a structured environment, students learn teamwork, communication, goal-setting, and how to handle wins and losses with maturity.

With guidance and feedback, gaming becomes more than entertainment — it becomes a way to build confidence, discipline, and real-world skills.

We’re excited to finally open something we’ve been working on for a while at Valhallan…

Starting April 10th, we’re launching our Homeschool Technology & Esports Classes here in New Braunfels.

These are weekly, hands-on classes designed for students ages 7–17 who want to learn real technology skills using our gaming PCs—things like:
• computer fundamentals
• coding and logic
• game design concepts
• digital media and streaming
• how technology connects to real-world careers

📅 Fridays
⏰ 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

And here’s a fun bonus…

Students who attend class are welcome to stay for our Friday Free-Play session from 5:30–7:30 PM at no additional cost.

💲 $99/month
(Or included at no extra cost with our $229 Premier Competitive Gaming Membership)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sibling discount: 10% off with code SIBLING10

We’ve had a lot of parents ask for something like this—structured, educational, but still fun and social—and we’re really excited to bring it to the community.

If you’ve got questions or want to grab a spot, feel free to message us or stop by the arena.
