After the water level being drawn low for slightly over 3 years, it's been sooooooo nice to have Lake McQueeney "back on the grid" with the completion of the new dam. She's filled up, and open for business, and so am i!

It's nice to have the expanded playbook open up in the Guadalupe region. We've got some good options in the area. Looking forward to also fishing Lake Placid, which is just below Mcqueeney. I can only be one place at a time though, & I'm getting around.

Lots of interesting developments in the Guadalupe region. Most of you are probably aware that the recent rains this week have filled both Lakes McQueeney and Placid back up!!! The water will be a bit muddy for a while, but that's normal after flooding..... However, upstream at Canyon Lake is fine. We had a quality day today. Hopefully Canyon can find a way to get more water as we approach summer. As long as it's open, I will keep going. Such a fun place to fish.

It was nice to get out on Canyon Lake this morning, and set some hooks! Nothing too big today, but...... I'm not going to complain one bit about a day on Canyon Lake catching fish. I love that place.

Check out these bass! 😁😛

Yeah, I know, they're NOT bass, but dang, we had a blast catching a variety of fish with this man's two young girls. They were a lot of fun. They've been out before, and we've got a few Honey holes dialed in. 😛

Each destination has its own vibe.... but no matter where you're at, setting hooks, and landing fish is always a thrill!

It feels like it's been spring forever this year, but it's still early April! Come getcha some... 🎣

🚨📢 PB ALERT!

Yeah, I know. I've been "laying a little low" with posting fish pics lately, BUT...it's NOT due to "nothing to post!" Actually been doing quite well, (with solid quality).

Anyway, we had a really special moment TODAY when this 15-year-old boy landed his new PB (an 8 pounder) on his debut on Dunlap! 😱👊 It was a thrilling experience for all of us! Such total elation to see this big fish landed.

We got off to a quick start with some good fish..... but then, a little later in the trip, the fish got even more good-er-er!!

Thank you, Fayette Largemouths for showing us a good time!

I like what I'm seeing on Dunlap. Been putting some nice fish in the boat..... There is some rain in the upcoming forecast, which is much needed, but hopefully we'll still get on the water a bit next week. That's the plan with a few destinations on the calendar.
