Today while I was getting in some steps, “DAWNS” by and came on. The line “I need one small victory” hit me hard.

I thought, when am I going to feel a victory, or when am I going to feel like I did before.

Then I realized, it doesn’t matter what before was like, I’m not there anymore. I’m in the now and the only thing that matters is the next step I take.

My is that, over the last 7 days I have averaged over 30 active minutes per day. That’s a win to me!

Victories don’t always show up the way you’re expecting, sometimes you have to look for them!

Decided to try and run today. It wasn’t “fast”, it wasn’t “comfortable”, it wasn’t “easy”. But I was enlightened by a mantra that hit me about halfway through, “It’s about the actions, not the numbers”. I used to be so wrapped up in numbers that I was unhealthily obsessed with how my performance was, and what it would indicate to others that my fitness was. Now today, 3 years removed from my biggest running feat, I am reduced to those words. It’s about the action, not the numbers. Stay well, my friends!

I’m starting over… Again… this time heavier than I’ve ever been. Nearly 250 #…. I have gained 75 # lince the height of my running days just 2.5 years ago… today I start with the journey to find a healthy live and a healthy balance. Lots of walking and low impact exercise… weekly checking to come, every Saturday!

This has been a rough few months in regards to fitness. With the move, the job change, and school. I just haven’t put my fitness at the top of the priority list. However a doctor visit on Monday told me I need to rethink my priority list. So today I start restructuring my schedule to ensure I am doing what I need to do. Just the basics today, like and say, swings and getups! 100 swings 10 get ups 50 goblet squats!
