You need 10 work points to be eligible for year end prizes. The sign up sheet is always located at the registration booth. This entails helping with event set up, take down, and reset during the Playday in the arena. You must check in with the arena judge to get the points signed off on. If you have any questions please feel free to ask anyone on the committee. You also must run 3 of the 4 events at every Playday to be eligible for prizes

Hey CCSP Members!

We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for our 2026-2027 Queen/King and Royalty Court!

This is a wonderful opportunity for our talented young members (ages 11–18) to represent Comal County, New Braunfels, and the Comal County Sheriff’s Posse with pride, poise, and horsemanship.
The competition on August 29, 2026 will include Horsemanship, Interview, and Public Speaking. If you love riding, speaking in front of others, and showing true Western Heritage spirit, this could be your year to shine!
Important Dates:

Deadline to Apply: Tuesday, June 16, 2026 by 7:00 PM (Applications must be turned in at the clubhouse – parent/guardian required)
Competition Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026

All candidates and their parents must be current members of the CCSP and commit to staying active through the royalty year and the following year.

If you have a young rider in your family who dreams of wearing the crown and serving as an ambassador for our posse, now is the time to get involved!

We are excited to announce it is that time again -- time to begin the process for selecting our 2026-2027 CCSP Royalty Court. As you know, this is an excellent opportunity for young people to gain community experience, representing our organization at rodeo's, leading parades, posting colors and so on.

Royalty Court is an honor.

A flyer will be forthcoming - but mark your calendars now for June 16th. This is the deadline to sign up. We will be meeting at the Clubhouse. The competition will be Saturday, August 29.

We are excited to share that through the generosity of our sponsors and the success of our recent Western Heritage Fundraiser, we awarded seven scholarships to outstanding seniors from Canyon, Canyon Lake, and Smithson Valley high schools who are passionate about pursuing careers in agriculture, trade, and law enforcement, empowering each of them to shape a brighter future.

Congratulations to all involved as we continue our commitment to fostering the Western Heritage and developing the next generation of community leaders.
