When Akib Rahman stepped up to the podium as a 2026 commencement speaker for the College of Business and Technology, he was representing more than his graduating class.
Originally from Bangladesh, Akib arrived at WilmU with a business background and no technical foundation to speak of. He left with a Master's in Information Systems Technologies, an Epsilon Pi Tau apprenticeship, and an admission offer to a Ph.D. program at Towson University.
"Distance could never diminish their presence in my life," Akib said, reflecting on the family who supported him from across the world.
