After the Georgia Bulldogs’ 20–17 victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide, tensions were still boiling long after the final whistle.
Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer delivered a furious postgame statement:
“You can call it whatever you want, but that wasn’t clean football. Georgia kept pushing every limit all game long — questionable contact in the end zone, a controversial overturned interception, and every little advantage they could find. The worst part is that the officials let it happen. You can’t play fair when the other side keeps getting the benefit of every questionable call and never gets held accountable for it. If that’s how they want to play, then that result says a lot more than the scoreboard does.”
