Sprinting is one our fundamental patterns and movements we work to incorporate as much as possible for our athletes.

If you’re not sprinting regularly, how the hell are you going to get any faster? 🤷🏽‍♂️

I love game like scenarios for agility and change of direction days!

I think this is an opportunity where you can really let kids have some fun and get some high quality work in at the same time.

This is partner mirror drill combined with a sn**ch and tag game.

Partner A is trying to grab the tennis ball and make it ten yards without being tagged.

If they touch the yellow stick, partner B must also.

It was a lot of fun seeing them think on their toes and work hard to not get caught.

A great sports performance program doesn’t just teach speed or just build strength.

It does it all.

Not only do my athletes become better athletes but they also get STRONG AF.

Must be something to that speed and plyo work that carries over into everything else 🤷🏽‍♂️

Here is just a glimpse at a casual Wednesday at Prime Movement and Performance

Let’s go! 🔥

Whether you like Olympic lifting in a program or not, it doesn’t negate the fact that it’s just down right fun.

When I told my athletes that we were doing cleans on this day, they all got excited to get after it.

I mean if that isn’t enough idk what is 🤷🏽‍♂️

When Bieber Fever takes over the agility and plyos!

This summer we have been working on making plyos and things like the agility ladder more fun.

So we’ve added songs, rhythm and requiring athletes to stay in sync with each other.

In this one, we put on and told everyone to stay synced up with and what we got was amazing.

Athletes in rhythm, athletes having fun, athletes focused and guess what? They’re still making progress!

Make training fun. Created opportunities for joy and exploration of movement and you and your athletes will never want to miss a training session again!

In our sports performance training program we have linear speed days and lateral speed days.

On our lateral days we have a change of direction emphasis on day one and a lateral speed emphasis on day two.

What’s the difference?

Well … change of direction is exactly what it sounds like. It’s how we stop, go, angles, foot placement, power, pushing, etc…

Lateral speed is about learning how to crossover run, blending movement skills, speed cuts and running the curve.

Both, equally important but I find that when many coaches look at lateral work they only think of the change of direction component and our missing a whole other category of movement skills that can really separate their athletes from the rest.

Here is where you get better.
