Last night's CIAC Sports Class S Track & Field State Championships were fantastic. There were several strong BHS performances. Notably, Dominic Lombardo won the 1600 and was third in the 3200. There were many personal bests. Congrats to the team and coaches.

From Coach Ferraro: "Big day for Bolton Track & Field. PR’s up and down the line! Our milers were stellar. Colin (4:43), Chris (4:46), Thomas (4:51), Ryan (4:55), Ethan (5:14), Evan (5:17), Alex (5:32), Quinn (5:46), and Leo (5:51). The night got even better with the 5000m. Dom (15:13), Rosie (16:38), and Dahlia (18:42). This group has worked so hard. I’m proud of them!"

Great running by the distance squad this past Saturday night at Fast Times at Ridgefield High. Many on the team set personal bests at the 3200 distance. There were 16 blazing fast heats. Next meet: Tuesday afternoon at Rockville High School.

The BHS boys and girls did very well at today's NCCC Indoor Track & Field Championships. There are a few more meets left in this indoor season. The Last Chance Meet at Hartford Public High School on Saturday, the CIAC Sports S Division Championships a week from Saturday, and the CIAC State Open Championships the week after that.

it's not full meet coverage, but here are some highlights from yesterday's NCCC Invitational at Hartford Public High School. The snow didn't deter these runners. There were many impressive performances, PR's, and state's qualifiers. The freshmen were standouts!

The Indoor Track season is now in full swing. Yesterday, some BHS athletes competed at the Yale High School Classic. Unfortunately we only have photos and videos from the Boys and Girls Mile event. We will have more coverage as the season rolls on! Kudos to the runners who had personal bests at the Coxe Cage, a legendary track.

Post-season celebrations: first, Dahlia, Dominic, and Andrew were honored at the All-State banquet. Then, the entire team celebrated the season and Coach Paul Smith's fantastic 24-year career at the head of BHS Cross-Country. The team was also celebrated at a recent Board of Education meeting. Bravo.
