Please help vote for one of our senior leaders, Cordell Roberson, in the race for ANEC Senior Leadership Award. A 1st Team All NE8 Conference selection and a big part of our winning seasons in 2025 and 2026, Cordell played all 4 years in a Bulldog uniform. Thanks for all your support- hopefully we can help bring him and our program some more hardware this season.

We are having a short summer session for our returning players and any incoming freshman interested in playing for the 2027 Baseball season.

We will scheduled to have games on four of those dates and practices on the first and last dates. Message our page if you have an incoming freshman interested in playing so we can get him in contact with Coach Bischoff.

Finally, congratulations to senior 2B/RHP Cordell Roberson for being selected to the NE 1st Team All Conference, the first 1st selection since 2019.

Cordell hit .421 for the season, but was especially dangerous at the plate in conference, where he led all batter in the NE8 with a .526 batting average.

His career ends with finishes of-

7th place all-time in New Haven Baseball history with 139 career assists, tying Class of 2008 grad Zach Saalfrank.

11th place all-time in career walks at 55, tied with Tom Muth (1973), Craig “Hammer” Henry (1989), Sean Garber (2002) and Sean Ferguson (2017).

15th place all-time in career sacrifices with 11, tying Tracy Fancher (1987), Kevin Bussard (1991), and Pete Beber (2003).

Congrats on a great career and thanks for all you’ve done for New Haven baseball.

Congratulations to senior RF Caiden Rowland on capturing a spot on the NE8 2nd Team All Conference roster.

After hitting only .105 in his sophomore year, Rowland put in hours in the offseason to see his batting average sky rocket to .358 his junior year. Not to be outdone, Caiden hit .395 his senior season, doubling his double production from 4 in 2025 to 8 doubles in 2026. He also stole 7 bases and was one of 6 Bulldogs to get hit by a pitch at least 4 times.

Congratulations to senior C Ethan Goodwin for winning a spot on the NE8 All Conference Honorable Mention team.

Goodwin finishes his 4 years at New Haven 2nd all-time in assists (69) for a catcher and 4th all-time in career putouts (496). Ethan has nearly
Identical seasons the last 2 years, hitting .342 and .338 respectively, with 10 doubles in 83 at bats.

Thank you to Ethan on 4 great years with the Bulldogs.

Congratulations to junior 3B/RHP Erick Garcia, SS/RHP CJ Roberson, and CF Ethan Wake for all making the NE8 All-Conference Honorable Mention team.

Garcia hit .380 on the season with 7 doubles, 30 hits overall, and 6 stolen bases.

CJ Roberson slugged .440 on the year, leading the Bulldog offense in hits, runs, RBIs, walks, and at bats. His 49 assists defensively helped keep runs to a minimum for opposing teams

Wake led the team with 7 HBP and 27 stolen bases, batting .338 in 68 at bats. Defensively, Wake saw plenty of action in center field, with 73 put outs.

Later today, we will recognize the seniors who also secured awards. Congrats to these 3 and hope to see more success on the diamond next year.

The 16-10 Bulldogs entered Sectional Play completing the best regular season since 2018. Sadly, the postseason run was a short one, running into a tough 16-8 Norwell team. Timely bunting produced runs for the Knights. The Dogs got runners on most innings, but couldn’t get all the bats working at the same time.

New Haven falls to Huntington North 8-1 in the final game of NE8 Conference play. The junior lefty duo of Jakobi Schuler and Ryne Haver held the Vikings to 6 hits, 2 walks, and 4 runs through the first 6 frames before Huntington North pulled away with 4 more run in the 7th.

Left Fielder Braylon Eddington led the Dogs with 2 hits, with the lone run coming off an Ethan Goodwin single to tie the game in the 3rd inning at 1-1. CJ Roberson, Cordell Roberson, Caden Rowland, and Wess Whittemore all had hits as well.

New Haven (now 16-9) travels south to Gas City this Saturday for one, possibly two games.

New Haven bests Manchester 11-2 on Senior Night as Bischoff Field. Junior Ryne Haver got his 2nd win of the season, as New Haven now enters the weekend with an overall record of 15-8.

Special recognition today to Senior Bookkeeper Jake Houston, a key member of the 2025 and 2026 teams. One of the best statisticians to ever don the purple and gold.

New Haven rolled into Kendallville tonight and took another NE8 Conference game 10-0 vs. the East Noble Knights.

Senior catcher Ethan Goodwin fueled the Dogs offense with 2 doubles and a single, driving in 4 runs. Other seniors Cordell Roberson and Caden Rowland also hit doubles, with Rowland playing Goldwyn in the 6th to get the 10th run.

On defense, junior LHP Jakobi Schuler returned to the mound again this week, throwing 5 scoreless for the victory. Junior CJ Roberson forced the last batter into a 4-6-3 double play to end things.

New Haven (now 14-8) returns home for Senior Night tomorrow at Bischoff Field.
