Recreation Club deals with social events, community service, fundraising, professional development etc. Our philanthropy is Camp Rising Sun.
The REC Club is an organization on campus that holds trips and events for students. Our philanthropy, Camp Rising Sun is a free camp for kids who have been diagnosed with cancer. Alpha Sigma Alpha, a sorority that shares our philanthropy holds an annual event (BUZZ-A-THON) raising money for the camp so we will help them out with sales. We will have speakers come in for professional development, have fundraisers like bake sales, and help out in our community.
Recreation club meeting today at 3:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Recreation & Leisure Department.
The Recreation club is having a meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) from 3 - 4 pm. Help spread the word.
Meeting will be held tomorrow 3-4pm in the Recreation and Leisure Studies Department conference room. (Office Building 1)
The first meeting is an an hour at 2! See you all there

This is a great experience while you are in school, looks awesome on your resume and is a lot of fun.

Buzz-A-Thon is tomorrow in front of dunkin 11-3!!! I will be there the ENTIRE time collecting donations and getting my hair for Camp Rising Sun, come out and support for the camp for children diagnosed with cancer! I volunteer as a camp counselor there and the experience that all these kids get is AMAZING!!! Thanks goes to ΑΣΑ sorority for putting on such a fantastic philanthropy event! , Everything for meeting will be ready for meeting at 1 (the minutes and agendas) we will have to go over the fact that were going to have to start the nomination process for the eboard next year and new chair positions!
Hey guys,
Since the SCSU men's basketball team has advanced to the Elite Eight for only the second time in school history and faces Central Missouri in Evansville, Indiana the time of the Recreation Club meeting (1pm) will be held in the Lyman Center where a campus viewing of the game via a big-screen presentation will be held obviously support from our club would be awesome.
We will meet next Wednesday at 1 pm for a special meeting with lunch! (Plus it jimbos bday next wednesday!)
