Tomorrow, a retired United Airlines flight attendant named Paul "Paulie" Veneto pushes an airline beverage cart into Ground Zero — and finishes something 25 years in the making.

Paulie flew United Flight 175 regularly for years.

He was off the morning it was hijacked and flown into the South Tower.

He knew every member of that crew.

"I flew with every one of these guys," he says.

The grief nearly ended him — 15 years lost to opioid addiction before he got clean in 2015.

Then he found his mission: honor the flight crews of 9/11, the ones he calls the "first, first responders," who faced hijackers with no warning and no weapons.

Since 2021 he's pushed that cart along every hijacked flight path.

Boston to New York. Washington to the Pentagon.

Newark to Shanksville.

Boston to New York again.

This year, for the 25th anniversary, he's doing it one final time — and he's not walking alone.

Extra carts, extra hands, entire towns shutting down streets to walk beside him.

Tomorrow, September 11th, he pushes the last mile down Broadway into Ground Zero.

One man. One cart. Over 1,000 miles for people who never got to come home.

When I first read about this I thought there is no way this is possible.
I was wrong, yes it is and it is worse and far more concerning.

There is currently a proposed Pennsylvania Department of Health regulation , Regulation #10-242 , that would give government health authorities significant access to minor students during certain public-health investigations without parental consent.

The proposal says a school “shall provide” the Department of Health or a local health authority with reasonable and timely access to a person for contact tracing or partner services.
That all school personnel “shall permit” government health officials to “meet and speak with a student or other person, and in private.” The school is required to provide an appropriate setting for that private meeting.
School employees or officials may not obstruct or interfere with that access.
Think about that.
We're talking about minor children, not adults, whose parents retain parental rights even while their children are attending school.
These children would be required to be made available to government health officials for private conversations without a parent , guardian or attorney present. There is is also not parental consent required. The proposal also does not require the interaction to be audio- or video-recorded, leaving parents/guardians without an independent record of what was said to their child.

That access can occur while the child is:

• in class
• on school property
• attending a school function, sporting or other activity
• or otherwise present at the school

The proposal also contains provisions concerning access to Medical Records and expressly connects the student-access provisions to Pennsylvania's existing laws allowing minors, in certain circumstances, to consent to medical services without parental consent.

**Before anyone chimes in politically, please don't.
This has nothing to do, at all, with what political party you stomp for, are affiliated with. Whether you are Republican, Democrat, Independent, pro-vaccine, not pro-vaccine etc. matters not.

Every single one of us should be very alarmed by this.
This is about the rights of every citizen, the fundamental rights of parents, and the rights and privacy of our children.

We never know the depth
of another's pain.

To our community and all of Gilad’s supporters,

Since Gilad’s passing, many of you have kindly reached out with questions regarding the circumstances of his death. Out of respect for his family and while we awaited the final findings from the Medical Examiner's office, we have not shared details publicly until now.

With the official report now entering the public record, we want to address this transparently: while the Medical Examiner has determined Gilad's cause of death to be su***de, his heartbroken family is still struggling to understand the circumstances that led to this tragedy.

This is a deeply painful reality for everyone who loved him. Because this remains a private and sensitive family matter, we will not be sharing further commentary or details, and we ask that everyone respect the privacy of his loved ones during this difficult time.

Let us remember Gilad for the incredible light, energy, and positive impact he brought into our lives.
