Being an instructor means understanding that not every lesson needs to look the same.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do for a child is change the course of the lesson, step away from the original plan, and meet them exactly where they are that day.

Some days we work on riding skills, other days we work on confidence, patience, problem-solving, courage, and learning to trust themselves. Sometimes the biggest accomplishment isn't what happens in the saddle, but what happens within that child.

Horses have a beautiful way of teaching lessons we don't always realize we're learning. My job isn't just to teach kids how to ride, but to help shape confident, capable, and compassionate young people along the way.

Some horses just find a special place in your heart, and this girl is one of them. ❤️🐴

Today Betty proved just how amazing she is on her very first solo ride off property, and I couldn’t be more proud of her. Watching a horse you’ve put your time, patience, heart, and hard work into begin to shine on their own is a feeling that’s hard to put into words.

Training horses isn’t always easy, but moments like these make every long day, every little setback, and every step forward worth it. To watch her confidence grow and see her be the absolute BEST today is such a blessing.

I don’t take it lightly that I get to be part of her journey. Being her trainer is truly an honor, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to help her become the horse she’s meant to be.

Here’s to the little milestones that turn into big memories. This girl has my heart, and I can’t wait to see what her future holds. ❤️

There’s something about pushing past your fears in the saddle that means so much to me. ❤️🐴

Every ride teaches you something, not just about riding, but about trust, patience, and believing in yourself even when something feels scary.

Horses have a way of showing us just how strong we really are. They teach us to breathe through the hard moments, to let go of doubt, and to keep showing up even when our nerves try to tell us otherwise.

For me, it’s not about being fearless. It’s about feeling that fear and choosing to try anyway. It’s about those little moments when we realize something that once scared us doesn’t feel so scary anymore.

And honestly, those are the moments that make riding so special. Every fear we work through, every little victory, and every bit of confidence we gain makes me fall in love with this journey even more. ❤️

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about the ride. It’s about who you become along the way. 🐎✨

Taking a moment to be grateful for the slow days, the quiet moments, and the time to get ready for our last show of the season.

Sometimes the slower days are just what we need to reset, prepare, and appreciate all the little things that make this life so special. A little show prep, a lot of horse time, and a heart full of gratitude. 🤎

I couldn’t love being a trainer, a horseman, and getting to do what I love every single day more than I do. The trust, the lessons, the quiet moments, and the bond we build with these horses… that’s the kind of wealth that means everything to me.
