Practice on Tuesday will be in the Windham High School wrestling room. Go through the gym doors on the right side of the building 🦍

Everyone who is competing at High School Nationals needs to be back at practice starting tonight 🦍

For those families with youth who qualified or plan to wrestle in New England’s this is the link. Parents need to register their children for this one. It needs to be done before March 9, that is the final deadline but I wouldn’t wait until last minute.

Practice tonight, tomorrow and Thursday will ONLY be for those youth going to States and those high school wrestlers going to Opens 🦍🦍

‼️YOUTH STATE QUALIFIER INFORMATION‼️
📍Killingly High School
📍Weigh-Ins 7:30am-8:30am no late weigh-ins will be accepted
📍Use the check scale before tournament scale
📍Qualifier weight will be the same weight for States on March 1
📍Weigh-ins must be done in a singlet
📍If registration weight is missed, wrestler will bump up to qualifying weight and a $10 fee will be imposed
📍Brackets wrestle until 5th and 6th place, make sure you talk to a coach before you think you’re done wrestling
📍Brackets will be on Floarena online once weigh ins are complete
📍Mouth guards must be worn if wrestler has braces
📍Match periods in minutes:
10u: 1-1-1
12u: 1-1.5-1.5
MS: 1-1.5-1.5
📍TOP 4 wrestlers in each weight class advance to States March 1 at Hillhouse High School
📍📍If your wrestler qualifies (top 4) you MUST message me letting me know and Venmo the Silverback account $40 on Sunday. They need to be registered that night. If you don’t, their spot will be forfeited to the next able wrestler from the tournament📍📍
📍Don’t forget, you both will be nervous and excited. Let them enjoy the experience and make sure they just go out there and have fun and wrestle tough. Be their biggest cheerleader always! It’s a tough sport and takes a lot of courage for them to get out on that mat. Wrestling is like no other.

We are going to be running a concession that will benefit the club and would love if we could get the help from our families with donations. We are looking for: cases of water, cases of Gatorade, granola bars, boxes of single serve chips, Uncrustables, boxes of candy bars/snacks. All donations can be brought to the club during practice hours. Thank you so much for anything you are willing to donate! 🦍❤️🦍

ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILIES:

Any middle school wrestler who wants to wrestle at state qualifiers needs to be at practice on Tuesday, February 17th for weigh-ins. You need to have your USA wrestling number in hand $60 so it needs to be active through usawmembership.com You will also need a silverback singlet which is $50 and your registration for states which is $30. Without all of the above, registation will not be possible. If you want to join silverbacks for other reasons besides qualifiers, please do so in the middle of March. Now is not a good time with so much going on. Thank you 😊🦍
