Today, December 14th, marks the birthday of O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba, the Founder of Aikido.
Born 142 years ago in what is now Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, his vision has since blossomed, with Aikido now practiced all over the globe.
We pause today to express our deepest gratitude for the creation of Aikido.
It is our immense joy to continue sharing and practicing this art with all of you, today and every day!

Whether on the mat or hosting a summer camp banquet dinner, when Yamada Sensei smiled, the whole room smiled back. Let us do our best to continue honoring his legacy by infusing our practice with the same joy and positivity that he offered, as we continue to miss him every day.

Happy New Year!
