most of my friendship stories start the same way.

the baby tells me about his day.

it was eventful! twists, turns, but at it all turned out well.

i’m pretty sure these aren’t the jeans i ordered but we gonna keep them anyway.

when are the planets out of gatorade?

these hands are hitting a lil bit.

my heart feels heavy today.

feels as i’m waiting for the other shoe to drop and i’m not sure why.

so i offered myself a little grace in the form of a slow morning, some time sitting in the sun, and breathing intentionally
•
then i saw these perfect little pops of color peeking through the fence.

morning glories. small unassuming beauties that i used to plant with my father.
•
and i feel comfort.

this summer has been full of beignets, po’boys, warm baguettes w/ soften butter, countless appetizers and glasses (read: bottles) of wine and whiskey. i have no regrets
•
here’s to turning the corner to more fruits and veggies because my body misses them.
•
warmed peaches + melon over arugula with ciliegine, prosciutto and chopped basil.
