SYC Blood drive for Corky Potts. What an incredible turnout! Thank you to all the donors and SYC volunteers! Thank you to the Blood Center and to Suzy Potter and Kathleen Horn from the Blood Center! Over 100 donors came out and 123 units of blood were donated!

Another blood drive is scheduled at Ponchartrain Yacht Club on February 3 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Regatta Room.

Volunteers included Karen Reisch, Mamsie Manard, Penny McIntosh, Brenda Moffit, Karen Taylor, Julianna Wiegand, Sean Collins, Nancy Bradford, Nancy Claypool, Georgette Zatarain, Nancy Blouin, Michele Guerin, Janet Aschaffenburg, Julie Burges and Corky's sister Susan LeGros!

On October 25, McGehee Sailing Club's Virginia Lovell '28 and Mary Claire Leckert '28 outpaced Jesuit to win the Great Oak Regatta qualifier, and both the Hawks and Bluejays earned spots in the Sugar Bowl Great Oak Regatta, bringing top sailing teams from across the country to Lake Pontchartrain this November.
