Founded in 1993 by Sonny Borey and Harry Connick, Jr. The parade rolls on Lundi Gras & culminates with a black-tie afterparty, the Orpheuscapade.

this New Orleans Mardi Gras krewe is the city's most diverse boasting 1,500 members from all walks of life. Since 1993, the Krewe of Orpheus has mesmerized the crowds who jam the streets of New Orleans awaiting its arrival. Orpheus has consistently stunned the revelers on Lundi Gras, the night before Mardi Gras, and has exploded as the largest new Krewe in the past 30 years. Since that first ride, Orpheus has been the most eagerly anticipated Mardi Gras parade of the season.
