Monday means, like it or not get up and get your a$$ in gear!
Despite how hard it is on a rainy Monday morning where I’m at, put your engine in high gear and get after some goals people!

I want a positivity boost from you....can you share with me in the comments something you have recently achieved that you worked hard for????
My weekly goal is to shed off a couple lbs and weather permitting work on my tennis over hand and serve!

9 years ago today and still would not trade this guy! 3 boys later and in good times and in bad times we are still Mr and Mrs Windham 😍. Would not want to ride this crazy ride called life with anyone else! And did I ever mention, I’m a pretty simple girl! If your from NOLA you will know....I got married in the cheapest church I could find and had my reception . I don’t like cake so I got what I wanted and that was a layered kingcake 🙌🏾. With a brass band, , pralines, Roman candy and more. This was all we needed bc our vows was what mattered, not the big fancy party in my eyes! 😍

How do you stay balanced?
I fluctuate in weight some. I may not sway too far from my happy weight, but it’s all because of balance! I have learned that many years ago going super strict on my nutrition sent me in so many wrong directions! I was unhappy seeing people eat “bad” food while I ate healthy food and I felt super deprived! I would then cave and binge eat which in turn had me feeling even worse! I have never been on any specific diet bc it’s just not my style! I don’t follow and never have followed any fad diets! So what works for me???? BALANCE!!!
I eat donuts, I eat cake balls, I eat cookies, I eat Taco Bell, I eat chips and dip ...just to name a few of my favorites. I workout 30-60mins on most days and I generally eat healthy and yep I eat unhealthy in MODERATION probably at least once or twice weekly! This BALANCE works for me to keep a good balance of what I want for my body physically, but also keeps me mentally balanced and not moody and deprived!

I want to know are you truly giving it your all???
Perserverence is doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success!
Are you one of those that likes me immediate results and if they don’t see changes quickly, give up???
That is normal to want that of course, but in most things unrealistic. Let’s just use working out since that’s my deal I guess you would say...it definitely does not happen over night! Physical changes take time! Be smart when it comes to choosing your fitness or nutrition program ;) Lasting healthy results take TIME! Expect to see some results in the first few weeks, but lasting and continues results typically take 3-6months to achieve according to fitness experts!

When you have a crazy, busy day I love bringing along a bag of Quest chips to have for a snack in bw the boys overlapping sports. Plan ahead or fail to plan ;) What is your go to snack when your on the go?
