Greetings fellow friends, I hope all of you experienced little to no turbulence from the effects of Hurricane Isaac. For those of you who didn't, great! For those of you who may have experienced any power outs, flooding, etc.., and would like to unwind from the stressful event feel free to join us for some healing.

Blue Moon Event
Please join us on *Friday*, August 31st, at the *YOGIVEDA CAVE ASHRAM*,in the French Quarter, 307 Chartres St. (above Fleur de Lis Cafe) for our monthly Full Moon Drum Circle and Kirtan. YogiVeda would like everyone to attend the entire event to benefit from the full spiritual experience. The teaching and sharing will begin with:

1) A Guided Zen Meditation +

2) Sacred Rhythms which is champagne for the soul (a term he coined due to the bubbly effects the rhythms provide) +

3) Music lessons +

4) Cooking classes +

5) Kirtan +

6) 5 Course Indian Vegetarian feast will follow. +

7) Then we go on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River at Woldenberg
Park, (2 blocks from the Ashram). There we celebrate the sacred full
moon with *VEDIC SHAMANIC RITUALS & CEREMONY HONORING MOTHER MOON &
EARTH & FATHER SUN, as brothers and sisters of father GOD.
Come join us for ecstatic chanting, drumming, dancing,and feasting!

PARKING Parking in the French Quarter can be challenging, Free parking is available near the French Market on Esplanade, a block down on Elysian Fields, or along the flood wall on North Peters. From there it is a only a 10 minute walk to the Cave Ashram. There is also paid parking in Canal Place at Bienville and North Peters. (just a few blocks from the Ashram). However, it is a Thursday so parking on Chartres might not be bad, and parking meters do not charge after 7pm. Biking is always a great alternative. The entrance
to the Cave Ashram is at the door immediately to the right of the Fleur De Lis Cafe.

The Ashram is at 307 Chartres Street 70130. In the historic French Quarter, between Bienville Ave. and Conti St. The second building from the corner of Bienville and Charters on the lake side.
