CCFBA was formed in 1986 as a 501 (c)(3) community-based organization with a mission to provide services to low- and middle-income residents to enhance their self-sufficiency and empower them to become productive citizens. This year’s theme, "Engage, Educate, Empower," calls on us to unite and end the epidemic in Black communities. While we have seen progress, significant disparities in diagnoses and access to PrEP remain.

February is National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month! At Concerned Citizens for a Better Algiers, we know that healthy students are successful students.
This month, we celebrate the "everyday superheroes"—the nurses, counselors, and support staff—who bring vital health services directly to where our students learn and grow. Access to care at school means fewer missed days, better grades, and a stronger, healthier Algiers.
