🔥 THE FINAL FOUR ARE HERE! 🔥
We’ve reached the projected Top 4 Open Doubles seeds at the 2026 WFT World Championships of Foosball, and these four teams bring championships, momentum, and plenty to prove.
#4 | Rob Mares (Colorado) & Kevin Romero (Costa Rica/Maryland)
Two World Champions and two players who can hurt you from either position. Mares brings veteran power, experience, and the ability to tee off on anyone in the building. Romero is deadly up front, but he’s just as dangerous in goal, where his slick style has helped carry him to multiple World titles. Versatile and very hard to eliminate.
#3 | Terry Rue (Louisiana) & Paul Smith (Missouri)
Your 2025 Worlds Open Doubles runners-up are back for another shot. Smith has climbed into the elite with brutal power and relentless offense, while Rue is a legend of the game, using precision, experience, and incredible table intuition to stay in the mix with the best. Smith is still chasing his first World title, and after finishing second last year, this team is coming back hungry.
#2 | Tommy Yore (New York) & Rob Atha (Great Britain) 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Your 2026 WFT National Champions reunite for Worlds. Yore is also the defending 2025 Open Singles World Champion, while Atha has long been one of Europe’s elite players. Atha’s slick, deceptive style keeps defenders guessing, while Yore brings championship firepower. They already proved this team can win a major. Now they want the biggest one.
#1 | Jacob Balcos & Erik Hueltner 🔥
Balcos enters as the #1-ranked doubles player, with 2026 Open Doubles wins at the Tour Kickoff, Mississippi State and Ohio State, plus a runner-up finish at Nationals.
Behind him is Erik Hueltner, a defensive wall known for his calm presence, unique style, and ability to completely shut down elite forwards. Hueltner also captured Wisconsin State Open Doubles this year.
Both are highly ranked. Both have won big. But neither has won a World title.
Now the #1 seed comes to New Orleans chasing exactly that. 🏆
🔥 YOUR PROJECTED OPEN DOUBLES TOP 16 IS COMPLETE.
