G & E level training with Paula Meyers in Gulf Breeze, FL.
Once again, there will be no class on Tuesday October 11 (2022), due to an ongoing family situation. Sorry to anyone this inconveniences; hopefully things will get back to normal soon. Thanks for bearing with me.
There will be no class on Tuesday October 4 (2022). I have to deal with family business at that time. Sorry for the short notice.
We will be closed Tuesday August 30 and Tuesday September 6 for Labor Day vacation. Classes will resume on Tuesday September 13. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
At long last, classes are back! We are back at our old time and place, 1:30 pm on Tuesdays at 1405 Canal Street. Thanks everyone for your patience!
We are hoping to have an evening time at least once a month in the near future, but didn't want to let waiting on that delay the return any further.
I was waiting for good news to post, but just to update everyone: despite all the other restrictions easing, NOLA rules for gyms and fitness centers still forbid physical contact. Re-opening will have to wait until that changes. Over one year into this, no one wants to get back more than I do. Hopefully, the gym rules will relax soon. I miss everyone.
COVID update: New Orleans's Phase 1 reopening plans allows fitness centers to re-open, however it also forbids physical contact between staff and customers, and customers and each other. Since in-person Krav training requires physical contact, we will not be re-opening in person classes at this time. Hopefully, the city will allow us to re-open during Phase 2, starting on June 5. When I know more, I will post more.
I'm sure everyone is as anxious to get back to training as I am. Keep an eye on state and local news. Whenever shelter orders are lifted and gyms are allowed to re-open, that's when we'll be back. Currently that stands at May 1, but that may change between now and then.

Obviously, we are closed for Mardi Gras day, so there will be no classes on February 25. To tide you over, here's a good technical discussion of the mechanics of a proper punch:
How to Throw a Punch - Popular Science - Pocket Without hurting yourself more than your opponent.
Unfortunately, class tomorrow (January 14) is canceled, due to a family medical emergency. Normal schedule will resume next week (January 21). Sorry about the short notice.
