An Extra-curricular Facility for Children & Adults with Special Needs and Disabilities We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) special needs center.

Our center provides relief for parents and guardians year-round through activities of all sorts for their loved ones. We pride ourselves on our educated staff and amazing sensory based facility. The Adaptive Movement Center is where special needs of all ages (3yrs – adult) can come and we adapt to them and to the environment that they need.

We’re excited for another year filled with learning, friendship, fun, and inclusion! 💛✨ Whether your child is just getting started, learning at home, navigating the school day, or simply needs a little extra support, we have a program for them!

🌈 Early Childhood Playgroup — Fun, social, and developmentally supportive play for our littlest learners!

📚 Homeschool Tutoring — Extra learning support, encouragement, and individualized attention for homeschool families.

🎒 After School Programs — We offer both younger and older age groups, with opportunities to learn, play, socialize, and unwind after the school day.

💙 Weekend Respite — A safe, welcoming space where kids can have fun and families can enjoy some well-deserved time to recharge.

Our programs are built around one simple idea: every child deserves a place where they belong, feel supported, and get to shine. ✨

🚐💛 AMC Families — We Have Transportation Options!

We wanted to keep everyone updated on the transportation options the AMC will be able to offer this school year.

With funding being reduced across the state, we are currently working to secure additional state funding to help make our services more affordable for families. In the meantime, we are happy to offer transportation within Tuscarawas County to help families get their children to our after-school programs, Monday–Thursday, from 3:30–6:30 PM, for $10/day.

We may also be able to provide transportation from schools in New Philadelphia or Dover, depending on each school’s student release times.

If you’re interested in using this service, please reach out to us! We’ve already started a list of families who have contacted us, and we’d love to hear from anyone else who may need transportation. 💛

Today, we’re taking a moment to celebrate and appreciate the hardworking people who make our community so special. Labor Day reminds us that every job, every helping hand, every volunteer hour, and every act of kindness makes a difference. ❤️

🍂 Fall Programs Are Almost Here! 🍁

As we get ready to kick off another season of fun, friendship, learning, and inclusion, we’re also getting our program spaces ready for all the amazing kiddos who will walk through our doors! 💛

To make our fall programs the best they can be, we’re currently looking for donations of supplies, snacks, craft materials, drinks and other program essentials. 🖍️🎨🧩🍎

Every donation—big or small—helps us create meaningful experiences, encourage friendships, support learning, and make sure every child has a place to belong. 🫶

🎶✨ And just like that… our last MixTape Music Bingo of the summer is officially in the books! ✨🎶

What a FUN night at Shenanigans! 💃🎤 From singing along and dancing in our seats to laughs, friendly competition, and some seriously good music—we couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the summer! ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, played along, cheered each other on, and made every MixTape night so special. You brought the energy, the smiles, and ALL the good vibes! 🥰🎵
