Quick post.

Here are out dates for next year.

10/26/2026

I want to thank all the teams and family that showed up and supported us this year and this being our championship weekend all the teams that participated good night have asked for a better weekend. The weather was great. The games were very competitive.
Bracket winners were deserving with hard fought games
In the upper C division it was Avalon and Latin Dynasty coming out on top
The championship game was not short of any spectacular plays and sportsmanship , it was a very defensive games with many highlights on both sides of the ball
Avalon came out on top winning the championship, but Latin Dynasty never gave up and it was a outstanding game to watch
In our lower C bracket, we had old-school heat and unwanted coming out as bracket winners
The championship game was nothing short of exciting playing two extra innings with unwanted coming out on top and taking the first annual championship for Above The Dirt Sports
Again, I want to thank all of the teams, family and friends and sponsors

Entry Fee

All entry fees will be returned to the teams. Above the Dirt will not be holding any credits for future tournaments.

If we are able to reschedule the tournament later this month and your team would like to participate, you may apply your October 10-11 entry fee toward the rescheduled event. Otherwise, your entry fee will be fully refunded.

We expect to know more about the possibility of rescheduling by the end of the day and will provide an update as soon as that information becomes available.

As you know, the weather has not been on our side this week.

After carefully evaluating the conditions, we have made the decision to cancel this weekend's tournament due to the weather and the condition of the fields. We do not want to hold a tournament that turns into a one-pitch or two-pitch event, and more importantly, we do not want players competing on a hazardous field.

We love the game and want to play, but at Above The Dirt Sports, the safety of our players and families is our first priority.

We are actively working to reschedule the tournament and will provide updates as soon as we receive information from Polk County Parks and Recreation.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call or text me. Tim or Robert

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support. Rob and I believe this is the best decision for the players, the teams, and the organization. We value the commitment each of you has shown throughout this year and look forward to an even better season in 2027.

I will continue to keep everyone updated as new information becomes available.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support and understanding.

Good morning, everyone!

There has been a change to the tournament schedule. Unfortunately, we had a team drop out, which required us to make an adjustment to one of the brackets.

After looking at the options, we felt the best solution was to make that a four-team bracket rather than simply giving each team a win. This only affects one team when it comes to the start times and allows us to keep the tournament moving smoothly.

It also gives the two morning bracket winners more flexibility. Once they advance, they will have two time slots available to start their next game. They can choose to start right away or take up to an hour break before starting — their choice.

The updated schedule is now posted on the Above the Dirt Sports website, and we have also updated it on Facebook.

Please make sure you check the new schedule so everyone is working from the most current version.

Thanks for your understanding, and we’ll see everyone at the ballpark!
