Ryan Carter '02 was one of the greatest hockey players in program history and the most prolific performer during the Gaels’ NCAA Division I era.

Carter was the No. 1 all-time goal scorer in program history. His points total rank No. 6 all time and 68 more than the No. 2 D-I performer. Carter was a four-time All-MAAC First Team selection and Hobey Baker Award Finalist in 2002.

I know it has been a while since there has been a post on here. I’m hoping to get a gauge on the interest in getting all of us together this summer in New York - 20 years after the final season of Iona Gaels hockey. July 20-23, 2023 has been a proposed date, but we are certainly open to other dates as well. Feel free to respond on here, or to Hallam or Fraser directly. We’d still like to do this thing! But we also want to make sure there is enough interest as I know everyone has busy lives. Hope you are all doing well and are able to enjoy some time with your friends and families this upcoming holiday season. Cheers and all the best!

I hope you all are doing well. It’s a crazy world we live in….maybe more so north of the border lately. That said, we still would like to get the D1 group together, but in the summer of 2023 - which would be the 20-year anniversary of the final D1 season of the hockey Gaels. Calling all Gaels! The five years of Iona College Hockey as a Division 1 program in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference created a lifetime of memories for everyone involved. No matter if you were a Gael for 1 or 4 years (or anything in-between), we would love to bring this iconic group – from the 1998 to 2003 years – back together for an extended weekend of laughs, camaraderie and a boat load of memories.
