Jimmy Kennedy continues to make an impact on and off the field.

The sophomore captain was selected as one of 77 NCAA Division I student-athletes to receive the inaugural Liam Gleason Humanitarian Award.

Kennedy was recognized for his leadership, support of teammates and dedication to the Iona community.

Iona earns its first win of the 2026 season and the program’s first victory at Mazzella Field in its one-plus seasons of existence.

The Gaels improve to 1-1 in MAAC play.

✅Freshman Luke Neary led the way with two goals and three assists.
✅Freshman Carson Turissini added two goals and two assists.
✅Freshman Lleyton Hall recorded a hat trick.
✅Sophomore Cullen Lawry chipped in two goals and two assists.
