Archery has been contributing to conservation for more than 50 years. ATA’s Dan Forster highlighted that impact last week as a keynote speaker at a celebration of the American System of Conservation Funding hosted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Shooting Sports Foundation and National Park Service. Since bow-and-arrow excise taxes were folded into the Pittman-Robertson Act in 1972, the archery industry has contributed more than $1 billion to conservation and counting.
