A huge thank you to my partner, Mike.
At times I had to work harder than usual just to keep up.

That’s one of the best things about having a great partner—when one person raises the standard, the other rises with them.

We suffered together, competed together, and crossed the finish line together. Couldn’t have asked for a better teammate.

Thank you to every single person who showed up and embraced the storm with us today. The weather could’ve kept people home, but instead you all showed up with energy, effort, and purpose… and you made this event absolutely EPIC.

There’s something special about watching a community come together in tough conditions for something bigger than themselves.

This Memorial Day, Stormborn Strength & Fitness is hosting Murph to honor those who gave everything — and to support a cause that matters right here in our community.

All proceeds will go to the Howard Beach 9/11 Remembrance Plaza, a tribute and educational center dedicated to remembering and honoring the lives affected by 9/11.

We are moving the meetup from Charles Park to Stormborn Strength & Fitness Sunday at 9:30 AM.

Everything else stays the same.
We still show up.
We still honor the fallen.
We still put in the work for a bigger purpose.

All proceeds are going to Remembrance Plaza, and all levels are welcome. Whether you do the full workout, scale it, walk it, or just come support, we’d love to have you there.

Honestly, a little rain just makes it more memorable.

You can walk.
You can bike instead of run.
You can scale every movement.
You can even just come out and support.

This is about community, remembrance, and challenging yourself at whatever level you’re currently at.

We’ll be meeting at the flagpole in Charles Park at 9:30 AM on Sunday, May 24.

HYROX Station 8: Wall Balls

This station destroys people because they treat it like a workout instead of a strategy game.

A few simple fixes change everything:

• Reduce ball spin → cleaner catches, less wasted energy
• Breathe in on the way down, two quick exhales on the throw
• Catch the ball at the bottom of the squat → stop doing 100 unnecessary negative squats
• Don’t redline early → smaller sets + shorter breaks keeps you moving longer

Smooth rhythm beats panic pacing every time.

The goal isn’t to survive the wall balls.
The goal is to finish strong.
