The loss of Giancarlo Stanton, as well as Gerrit Cole may be a controversial blessing in disguise. These injuries may help the Yankees and fans help to learn the potential from who supports their efforts in the time of their rehabilitation from injury. It’s a big hit and with Gil going down as well one can only imagine who will come and step up or show how big of a loss these players truly have on the Yankees. Time will tell but spring training has shown great potential for replacements in the meantime. With Stanton a great problem to have would be one of our big farm bats coming in and producing during his time on the DL, making a very hard decision for who plays in the event of his return. It will be exciting to see who steps up in the Bronx. 👍🏼🔥⚾️

It ain’t over, till it’s over. Yankees avoid the sweep and force a game 5 in the Bronx tomorrow night. After a grand slam by Volpe, solo jack by Wells, and a 3 run shot by Gleyber they took a healthy lead. While Judge joined in the fun late with a rocket RBI single of his own, getting on base 3 times on the night. The Yankees hope to bring this series back to LA after game 5 and when they do the Dodgers better be careful because this team is the most dangerous team when firing on all cylinders. LETS GO YANKS!🔥⚾️💪🏼

Judge is really just incredible. Leading is one thing, but to be head and shoulders above everyone.. literally and figuratively is somethin lol. I honestly think if he can stay healthy and keep it going in his career, as hard as that is, also having a late age 25 rookie season. once he hits his mid 30s, 34-35 and as he doesn’t indulge in the juice. chances are as we saw with miggy and pujols and so on you become human. One thing I will say judge is an anomaly and a monster with a dash of human. He is the equivalent of an excellent baseball player turned star on roids. He just doesnt need to do em as he is already a house. Late career start but he’s absolutely good for-pending health- 5-600 homers, 14 or 1500 rbi, 2000 hits which ya couldn’t ask for more then that with 7 years or so left, along with the high walk rate. He’s second in the league in average and 6th in hits even with being just behind Soto in 2nd with 100+ walks. When you are virtually tied for the lead in the league with walks and somehow still find yourself in the top 6 in hits and top 20 in strikeouts and manage to still hit .333 with 49 homers despite that. Well it means one thing. When judge steps up to the plate, for instance around 450 times(only counting at bats not walks), a third of the time he’s gonna get a hit, and a third of those hits are gonna leave the park for a homer, a quarter of the time he’s gonna walk, and with all of this 30 percent of the time he’s still gonna strike out, and with the remaining 10 percent give or take..sure the field will make a play on em. I will take it 😏..every damn day, stay healthy big man 🧏⚾️💪🏼🫡👍🏼🔥

Yankees Win 7-3. Judge, after a balk, homered to get the Yanks on the board 2-0. Then followed a couple more homers on the day from Rizzo and Soto. Volpe hit an rbi triple as well. Besides one bad pitch Clark Schmidt pitched very well, as did Hamilton who shut things down in the 9th. Some players look like they’re finding their stride a bit. No big uh oh’s imo but..
But Gleyber, what is going on with Gleyber. He’s played 25 games, 12 runs, .189 avg, 0 homers, 2 RBI. Several of problems on this team as well as slumps, yet this is feels different. This is Chuck Knoblach trying to field a routine ground ball as a second baseman and throw it to the first baseman, and somehow just forgetting how to do it. 🤔Either way just keep tallying those wins boys. Let’s do it Yanks.

In a perfect world yanks get both. With the Yanks we are lucky to grab one. Who you think we should get, and who do you think we will get? I would be happy adding either lefty contact/power bat who can play left field in general. Although Soto has racked up 160 homers already and is still younger then judge was his rookie year. Bellinger, 28, seems to have found his swing after falling off after his mvp campaign. Hopefully we grab one of these men, another solid contact lefty, and a solid starter

This is exactly what I and so many others try to preach as fans. Analytics in an impossible fix all because it’s based on human beings that are capable of anything at anytime during any situation in any game. You always structure a game plan but like he said, and I constantly pass this on is there has to be a happy medium between a managers intuition and gut instincts, concerning his players on any given day, and analytics.

If your team is firing on all cylinders and the players consistently play to the back of their baseball card that’s great. That also will never happen. These players have such highs and lows, as a manager you have to pick up on these signals. Whether it’s a good BP and a strong adjustment you saw from a bench player who maybe should step in for someone struggling or taking out your ace even though the data says he’s good to continue.

A manager has actual eyes that can see he lost it and pull him. The same goes vice versa like Jeter said, forget pitch count and times through the order. You can see if your pitcher is on it that day and is dominant and leave him out there no matter what the analytics say. A good manager has to be able to pick up on his players being able to play against their data whether in a good way or a bad way.

Especially in the postseason. So many questionable moves are made that have fans scratching their heads. And yes many are because of analytics. Yet some are because of a possible bullpen session where a player you have that’s been lights out all year is also young. Nerves show all over his face. Bullpen session was a bit off. Any good manager will not only pick up on these things but use his crew of coaches as a smart way to delegate supervising these different qualities each player is or isn’t showing day in and day out. At that point report back and decide who will give you your best chance to win.

His past play only helps so much as far as to say his chances are this or that percent. That’s not how it works. Guy could walk 5 guys all year, and walk 3 in one inning in his first postseason series. The best managers are not the ones who know the game of baseball the best. They are the ones who know their players the best and can coordinate them according to their play, and progression continuously throughout the season.

Yankees pull out another win, 4-3 against Detroit. As they continue to let those kids play, those kids become benefactors the more they do. These kids are MLB ready. Also want to bring up DJ who looked lost for a long time. He has been swinging the bat much better after what seemed like a lifelong slump. Let’s keep it up. I would love to see this new and improved team play spoiler against the Red Sox and Blue Jays, as they near series against the both of them. Let’s Go Yankees! Keep climbing that ladder over .500. There may be no bell at the top this year, but they can surely drop some water balloons, eggs, flour, and feathers on these guys. Make their postseason drive as difficult as possible! 😏😉😎

Yankees beat Detroit 5-1 bringing their record back to .500. Yes maybe too little too late but, that’s not stopping Jason Domínguez. The Martian enjoyed his first roll call and added a double on the day as well. The vets really were the contributors today as Stanton absolutely hit a bullet for his career 400th homerun. DJ also went yard to lead off the game. And last but not least Gleyber hit a double, good for 2 RBI’s. Let’s keep having fun, and Let’s Go Yankees!

The Yankees Sweep The Astros! Winning the last game 6-1. Having me say once again let the kids play! With help from the Martian, Austin Wells, and Peraza! Nice series all together, but especially for the young men with their now opportunity to show what they got! Let’s Go Yankees!!

09/02/2023

Well if the season is a bust, let the kids play! Dominguez goes deep. Ok now. Let’s see what these kids can do and move forward in a smart way for the first time in a while. Not a fan of Cashman or Boone. If they somehow are still here, well, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Let’s hope the youth on this team produces, and can make these Yankees a force again. Let’s Go Yankees!

The Yankees end their long 9 game losing streak. Interestingly enough, the end score was their record, the last 10 games. They won 1-9, which ironically matches their last 10 game stretch. Maybe Peralta let that late homer up on purpose 😏 haha. Judge went off with three homers, including a grand slam, with 6 RBI’s on the day. DJ went deep as well for his 9th of the year. Pereira with his first RBI, and Volpe contributing as well. And ofcourse Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Luis Severino throws 6 2/3 of shutout baseball. He only allowed one hit and 2 walks throughout. All or nothing with this man!

Yes the Yankees season is most likely over, unless a miracle of all miracles happen. So for the fans who say who cares, or it’s over anyway, or they still stink, etc. Just keep scrolling, bc regardless of what they do this team is our team, and the loyal fans need to still find the positive. Judge swinging well, Volpe startin to swing it, Pereira lookin pretty good with a great play at 3rd today as well. So throw out the pessimism and let’s just enjoy the win as it’s been long enough, that we have every right to do so! Let’s go Yankees!

08/19/2023

These 2 make a heck of a team don’t they? I don’t even care if they are good, bad, smart, or dumb. Team needs change. They have to show them the door, and never look back. Would be great if Hal could start to care. Even just 5 percent of how much his father did. Until tomorrow, try to even the series at 1 a piece, against the Red Sox.
