Your fitness journey doesn’t have to be so hard. 💡
————————————————
Truth is, unless you are chasing superior strength or athletic performance your workout never has to “kill you” to be effective🔑. In fact, most people would benefit from smart and specific workout plans and quality recovery time 😴much more than many of these intense generalized classes and training routines🏃🏼♀️
————————————————
In fact, chasing extremes in your workouts and nutrition can actually contribute to adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances, and can have a detrimental impact on your thyroid health‼️
————————————————
Think about it, your body needs time, energy, and calories to recover🔍. When it recovers properly, your body has the energy to grow the muscle and strength it needs💪🏻! Similarly, your body needs to feel “safe” in order to lose weight🧘🏼♀️. Why would a body under intense stress want to easily shed weight❓From an evolutionary standpoint, a body under stress would want to hold on to any stores possible to prepare for the tough times ahead🐻. ————————————————
Train with respect to your body and its needs, and train with your specific goals in mind📈. Sometimes this means toning down the intensity or frequency of your workouts📉, amping up the quality of your recovery🛁, or upping your calorie intake🥑.
————————————————
Cutting out your favorite foods because they are “fattening” typically just creates food obsessions 🧠 and binges 🍪🍩🍭 when your willpower breaks down❌. ————————————————
Working out to burn as many calories as possible in an hour is fun while it lasts⏳, but often ends in injury, fatigue, and hormonal issues🚦.
————————————————
Make sure that you are eating ENOUGH on a daily basis☀️ Train at an intensity that is right for you💃 Prioritize health, sleep, and hydration before you decide to never eat a carb again😂

One bad nutrition coach changed the course of my life➡️
————————————————
I started with my first nutrition coach at age 15👼🏼, I had been dancing ten hour days 🙆🏼♀️ and hadn’t had my period for two years👎🏻 I was worried, and I sought help and advice🔭Her response? “That’s normal for ballerinas at your school, don’t worry about it”🙃 I left that day with one piece of advice, the fruit smoothies I had been making daily had too much sugar and I should cut them out of my diet🍇 That left me with my 1 daily oat bar and nightly vegetable bowl, and nothing else🧊
————————————————
That one meeting affected the rest of my life, injuries developed and never recovered, deep fatigue affected my performance in school, and compounding factors related to my nutrition eventually led to the forced end of my ballet career. 🌚
————————————————
➡️All because one “nutritionist” couldn’t help to lead me on the right, and HEALTHY, path‼️
———————————————
As the wise says, a good nutrition coach is so much more than a glorified calorie calculator🧮 Anyone can give you a set of calories and a generalized “6 week b***y challenge” workout plan🍑 In fact, a quick google search and you could probably write it all out for yourself!
————————————————
A good coach works with you to navigate the unique circumstances of your life 🗺 , helping you achieve your goals while maintaining your optimal health❤️, guiding you to succeed in the long-term ♾, and enabling you to develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime💯
————————————————
I love that I have been given the opportunity to help so many people avoid the real side effects of the advice/promises of ill-informed individuals🕺🏼That my past struggles with my own health and fitness have resulted in something great and worthwhile🐢Nothing brings me more joy than helping others get on the right track, stay healthy, restore their hormones, and develop a balanced mindset towards nutrition and training⚖️
————————————————
A good nutrition/fitness coach will approach your goals in a holistic way⚡️, help you to work through whatever is in the way of your progress☄️, and support you every step of the way🌎

From ballet & anorexia/bulimia -> recovery weight gain and eating max 1200 calories/day -> me now, lifting, going on adventures, & eating about 2k calories per day 🌻
I was talking with one of my training + nutrition clients the other day and opened up a bit about my personal journey with weight training, nutrition, and overall health. ☀️ That conversation made me realize that sharing my story and experiences can make a difference in other people’s lives and hiding it isn’t the brave thing to do but, actually, the opposite🙃
I don’t like to write long captions so DM me if you want to talk more🌻 But!!! Remember -> Nothing is impossible, your goals are likely achievable, train smarter, find a coach that cares about your well-being, eat well, be happy, be healthy ❤️☀️❤️ @ New York, New York
