This Spring season has been an exciting one for the (My Family) Davis Family!
Between my daughter and my two nephews, we’ve got three Varsity athletes competing at a high level—and doing it the right way. My brother, sister, and I are all incredibly proud watching them represent their programs with pride, toughness, and great character.
Our family group chat has basically turned into ESPN lately—constant updates, big plays, results, and highlights coming in all day. It’s nonstop, and honestly, we love every second of it.
Kara Davis, my daughter, is a sophomore on the Southern Regional Track Team and coming off an incredible winter season. She placed at the Meet of Champions in TWO events (55M – 7th in NJ, 200M – 5th in NJ) and holds FOUR school records (Indoor: 55M, 200M | Outdoor: 100M, 4x100 Relay). She’s easing into the spring season after a long championship run, but will be back competing soon in the 100M, 200M, 4x100 Relay, and 100M hurdles.
My nephew David Perrotti, a junior at Holmdel, is off to a HUGE start in lacrosse. His team is 3-1 and ranked in the Shore Conference Top 10. He’s already put up 14 goals and 4 assists (18 points), sitting as one of the top scorers in the conference—and he’s had TWO 5-goal games already. Big win over Manasquan too!
My other nephew, RJ Davis, a junior at Allentown, is getting it done on the baseball field. His team is 3-0, and he’s contributing both on the mound and at the plate. On the mound: 3 innings, 0 hits, 0 earned runs, 3 strikeouts. At the plate: batting .273 with an RBI. They just knocked off a strong Ramapo team to stay undefeated.
The toughest part? Trying to be everywhere at once. With all three competing around the Shore Conference, it’s impossible to catch everything live—especially for my parents. But that’s where the group chat comes in clutch with play-by-play updates from whoever is there.
At the end of the day, what makes me most proud isn’t just the stats or wins—it’s the kind of teammates they are and how loyal they are to their programs.
Proud Dad. Proud Uncle. Proud Family.
Let’s keep it rolling this Spring!

Since Bam Adebayo just broke Kobe Bryant’s 81-point mark, it’s the perfect time to revisit one of the wildest scoring nights ever.😆
📅 Nov. 20, 2012 — the day a college basketball player shocked the nation.
Jack Taylor of Grinnell College shattered the NCAA single-game scoring record with 138 points in a 179–104 win over Faith Baptist Bible College.
The 5’10” sophomore from Black River Falls, Wisconsin put up video-game numbers:
🔥 138 points
🔥 52-for-108 from the field 😂
🔥 27-for-71 from three 😂😂
🔥 7-for-10 from the free-throw line
Yes… 108 shot attempts.
When Kobe Bryant heard about it, his reaction was classic:
“That’s incredible. He must have been wearing the Mambas, man. Only Mambas have no conscience to shoot the ball that much.”
A true Mamba mentality performance… just on 108 shots. 🐍🔥
