St Marks Yoga has been opened by a collection of senior yoga instructors who are committed to teaching in-person yoga classes. Opening in 2021, shortly after a city-wide ban on yoga had been lifted, our mission is to help rebuild New York City’s physical, mental, and social health.

We are located in an iconic 1885 landmark loft building in the heart of the East Village. The neighborhood, rich in rebellion and counterculture, provides a fitting backdrop to explore the experience of gathering with live humans.

With a commitment to supporting a yoga practice for all, we have intentionally made classes affordable and all-inclusive. We ask that you sign up in advance so that we may more seamlessly accommodate your visit, but other than that, nobody will be denied entry within our capacity limits.

Our instructors come from Yoga Agora, a beloved community yoga studio in western Queens. We have a range of different styles and backgrounds rooted in traditional vinyasa sequencing.
