NYC School of Highland Dance

We had so much fun performing with .piper for a Scottish celebration in Connecticut this month. was joined by two of ’s young competitive dancers for the fun event!

Congrats to Jessica, Catie, and Erin for successfully dancing at the Fair Hill Highland Games in Maryland this weekend! Everyone took home medals and a stamp AND Catie leveled up to Intermediate!

Some photos from our adult classes this week!! In the beginner class, we worked so hard that feet were the only thing fit to be photographed at the end of class! And in the advanced class, Emily brought out the spinner to make turnout night a little more fun 🥳

Thank you to everyone who came to our special Tartan Week adult class today! Participants enjoyed learning the first 3 steps of the Fling along with foundations of turnout and jumping, and even tolerated a little history lesson 🤓 Hope to see you in class again soon!

We can’t wait for this year’s NYC Tartan Week! Come see our students dance on Saturday, April 11th at Bryant Park in the morning and in the parade at 2pm! And don’t forget the NYC Highland Dance Competition on Sunday, April 12th!

Before > during > after! We had so much fun at the Essex Competition today and are so proud of Catie, Jessica, and Erin for their hard work!

Our little crew had a great weekend in Philadelphia at the MRM workshop, learning from top instructors from around the world! Dancers Catie, Jessica, and Erin worked hard in their classes and took lots of notes, teacher Steph knocked out most of her judging professional development requirements, and Catie even debuted a new choreography at Friday's competition! Lots of fun hanging with dance friends new and old 💕💕
