Today is Friday and so we figured we’d make it a bit fun with a little history lesson. This is an aerial shot of the construction of Orchard Beach. The photo was taken on June 15, 1937. Did you know that Robert Moses is the man behind the Orchard Beach project. It is said he wasn’t a fan of the sand found in the Long Island Sound so he had white sand transported from the Rockaways hauled over to the Bronx.
