One of the joys of studying ballet in New York City? Being surrounded by extraordinary dance, onstage and off.

The New York City fall dance season is in full swing, and for Ellison Ballet students, there’s nothing quite like studying in a city where world-class artists perform just around the corner.

Here, Ellison Ballet graduate Elisabeth Beyer shares a rehearsal clip of Frederick Ashton’s Birthday Offering ahead of American Ballet Theatre’s upcoming fall season at Lincoln Center.

The inspiration is all around us.

Melissa danced Odette/Odile in a production that brought new costumes, sets, and elements of Malaysian culture to the classic ballet. From New York to Europe to Malaysia, Melissa’s career continues to span stages and companies around the world!

Ellison Ballet ➡️ Finnish National Ballet ➡️ First Soloist: A beautiful story of determination and finding your own path. 🩰✨

We’re delighted to see Ellison Ballet graduate Seoyeun Kim profiled by The Korea Times.

Her journey has taken her across continents, through unexpected turns, and ultimately to a place where she could grow into the artist she wanted to become.

A wonderful example of how there is no single path to a career in ballet.
