Stony Brook Ultimate Frisbee

Hope everyone had a well needed break, but we are BACK for another semester of Ultimate Frisbee 🥏.

Until Spring Break, practices will be at the Indoor Practice Facility, aka the “Bubble” 🫧 and the Rec Center courts.

Recently Stony Brook Ultimate 🥏went to Randall’s Island 🏝️ to take on the annual New York Ⓜ️inute 🕕Tournament 🏟️, Panic took their time to improve 📈their systems 🤓 for the competitive 🥊 season, while Smash 💥 had an incredible 🤩 run against some high level ultimate teams!

Overall, it was a fun 👍 weekend of good frisbee 🥏, club ♣️ and team bonding 🫂, and especially good eats. Taiwanese and JBBQ was DEVOURED after each day, and we racked up quite the bill.

Thank you 🙏 to everyone that gave us the time 🕕 and energy ⚡️to come and play, watch 📺 and hangout 😎. Huge thanks to Clarence’s family 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 for the cookies and film of every point of every game. 😭

Two weekends ago PANIC 🎶 took their first AWAY 🚗 trip to RIT for the Halloween 🎃 Danse Macabre tournament 🏟️ . Lots of Good Ultimate 🥏 was played, and lots of fun 🤩 was had on and off the fields 🌾.

This past thursday, we had a pretty epic 😎 collab with Music 🎶 & Medicine 💊 and some of our RA’s at west apartments 🏠to throw together the first ever Tossies 🥏 and Tunes 🎶 social event! Frisbees 🥏were thrown, music 🎶 was played and the pizza 🍕and snacks were devoured.

Thank you to & RA Ronnie, Victor and Usman for collaborating with us, and especially thanks to for setting up such a crazy sound setup out of the kindness of their hearts!

Yesterday we hosted our annual alumni 🧑‍🎓 tournament 🏟️ to reunite all our old people together for a friendly competitive frisbee 🥏session. SO MANY OLD PEOPLE 👴🏻👵🏽 and a lot of our current and newbies came out to play some good old frisbee!!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to play, or drop by to say hi, and especially thank you to our organizers in leadership who helped set up everything to make sure it ran smoothly.

We miss all our alumni so much and hope to see you all every year at this tournament! It was great to see how far everyone has come and with that still continue to
keep playing frisbee!

You do not need to bring anything for Practice, but a personal drink & sneakers or cleats are recommended for an increase in enjoyment!

If you do not know where South P Fields are feel free to swipe right for the map, it is also/was called Lot 40, it is the fields at the big commuter lot down the road.

To get there you can walk 30m from campus, bike, or take the Bus (Express West, Express East, or Hospital Chapin)

Next Monday 7-9pm we will probably have some of our old members wait at the bus stop and show you how to get there!

We can also offer rides if necessary, just ask if you need one!

Remember: EVERYONE AND ANYONE is welcome to all of our practices, feel free to bring your friends!

First event of the school year 😱😱😱

If you’re an incoming freshman 🐺 or just on campus because you have nothing better to do, we are hosting a frisbee picnic where you can learn how to play ultimate frisbee, and if you feel like it you can participate in the for fun tournament 🏟️.

No experience necessary, all skill levels welcome to learn, play and hangout!

Yes there will be free snacks and refreshments…

Come to the Physics Lawn between the basketball stadium and the Physics Building, you will see people throwing frisbees! If you get lost or have any questions feel free to reach out 👍
