I and many of our members train for long term health and longevity of movement. Our goals are often decades from now. While this is a very sustainable from of exercise it can be hard to stay consistent without shorter term goals. We see ‘6 week beach body’ programs all over social media. They are deceptive but at least they give us a definitive time line.
It's hard, starting out and knowing this is going to be a life long pursuit rather than a quick endeavor.
Inconsistency or feeling like you want to quit is normal. Voluntarily choosing physical pursuits goes against our biological make up. Physiologically we are designed to to rest and save energy.
Our lives no longer gives us the natural movement and meditation we need. Nowadays we have to recreate these scenarios artificially in gyms and meditation centers or with yoga classes and ice baths etc.
Going to the gym, lifting, swinging, twisting, pushing, squatting, stretching can sometimes feel pointless. It doesn’t have the immediate outcomes as splitting timber or lifting stones, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t necessary. In fact it is more necessary than ever.
Loosing motivation is natural, the gym is a relatively modern concept in our evolutionary time line. Before it was a choice between physical effort and death, now it is a choice between physical effort and DoorDash.

✨️ UNIQUE MOVEMENT EXPERIENCE INCOMING ✨️
Finding Rhythm with Animal Flow - 2hr Workshop
The class will focus on basic Animal Flow movements.
You will be guided through a fluid warm up and conditioning, followed by some animal flow specific movement vocabulary, mini flows driven by tempo, and it will culminate in a master flow to connect all the pieces.
Ultimately, the goal is to find rhythm and move together!
Open to movement enthusiasts of all levels.

It was great to see the guys from in our space. They really captured what we are all about and it's amazing to see young Irish guys talking on the world. All the best and continued success.
Compassion. It's something we are really hard at giving ourselves but something that we really want our members to grow as they go through this journey.
it's not meant to be easy, not meant to fast, not meant to be linear and will change often.
We need to push ourselves but there is a big difference to that and being mean to ourselves.
Practice it! Compassion isn't about allowing yourself to avoid hard things. It is about communicatin with your body to see what it needs in the moment. Some times that will be hard work, sometimes rest, sometimes softer movement. It's about not judging yourself off unrealistic expectations but more so about meeting yourself where you are at.
It's not easy but it is a skill and skills get better with practice.
We explore movements, we evolve movements and we express movements. Starting slow to build awareness and foundations and increasing complexities and fun.
