Unfortunately, Emma & I had our last in-person training session yesterday as she's moving to Colorado this weekend for work! She's one of the hardest, most committed workers I know and an absolute animal in the gym; both of which have led her to being one of the top runners in New York City! I'm most definitely going to miss our sessions at Core, but thankfully, we'll still be keeping at it with virtual online training from afar. Wishing you tons of luck out that way, even though I have no doubts that you're going to crush it!!

I'm just about 4 months and a week out of hip resurfacing surgery, and I'm not going to lie, I'm feeling pretty damn good! I'm at the point where I'm forgetting how much pain I was in over the last half decade or so, or that I was even hurt in the first place. I feel like I'm getting a second chance, and for that, I'm very grateful! Thank you, !
Here's where I'm currently at with my rehab process. Not feeling any pain whatsoever during any of these exercises. We were even able to start doing light jogging in PT last week! Big shout out to for getting me to where I am!

Konnichiwa friends π! Told y'all it was coming... Flex Friday πͺ from across the world! This was about 3/4 of the way up the Fushimi Inari Taisha climb, through what seemed like 10,000 thousand gates β©οΈ with some decent elevation! Was a hell of a workout and deserved a much needed flex with the city of Kyoto behind us! Another amazing site to see in Japan π―π΅!

I'm still rehabbing my hip from surgery in January, so I want to keep strengthening it as much as possible, even on vacation. I typically don't stress about weight training when we're traveling as we typically stay pretty active walking, hiking, biking, etc., but if I do, I try to make my workouts as quick and efficient as possible. Here, I was able to squeeze in some leg work while supersetting with some triceps and biceps. I did 3 supersets, but only filmed the first two as the gym got a little busier, and I really don't like to be that guy.
3-4 sets of each pairing:
Goblet Squats (focused on slow-tempo eccentrics)
Tricep Pushdowns
Split Squats (narrow-stance)
Bicep Curls
Alternating Lateral Lunges
Overhead Tricep Extension
Less than 30 minutes and back on with our vacation!

Had the pleasure of filling in for Spring Fitness class last Saturday and instructing these bad ass women with a very challenging Strength & Conditioning workout! A few familiar faces and a couple new, these girls came together to work hard and have fun! And they crushed it πͺπͺ! Great job, ladies ππΌββοΈππ½ββοΈ!!!!

Happy Flex Friday πͺ from myself and the most jacked 71 year old I've ever met, B-Rad! Not only does my man come into every session looking to throw around some heavy plates, but he's also a world traveler π«, having been to 160+ countries! Fitness & Traveling, not a bad way to live your lifeπ! Keep on keeping on, big guy!

Flex like it's Friday, and you're on top of the world π! This hike in Interlaken π¨π was definitely one of the more challenging hikes I've ever personally done. About 2.7 miles with a steep elevation gain of just under 2400 feet π, on a bad hip, in roughly 90 minutes. It was extremely worth motoring through for some of the best views in Switzerland and a cold brewski πΊ at the top!
