Three World 10 Dance titles, major championship finals across the world, Alina Basyuk brings an extraordinary depth of competitive experience to the 2027 NYDF Dance Camp.

Alina began competing with Marat Gimaev in Moscow in 1999, and by 2001 they had become World Amateur 10 Dance Champions. They went on to win the title for three consecutive years, later becoming finalists at World, European, Blackpool, UK, and International Championships.

NYDF Dance Camp couldn’t be more excited to have Alina join us this year!

Franco Formica brings that depth of competitive experience to the 2027 NYDF Dance Camp.

As a champion, coach, choreographer, and adjudicator, Franco has built a career around understanding what makes Latin dancing powerful, competitive, and unmistakably individual. His record includes 3X World Latin Champion, 2X European Champion, 4X German Professional Champion, and multiple World and European Professional bronze medals.

For dancers, this is an opportunity to learn from someone who has lived championship-level Latin dancing from the inside and spent decades helping others understand it at a deeper level.

We are honored to welcome Franco Formica to this year’s NYDF Dance Camp.

One of the most prominent figures in Latin dancing, Slavik Kryklyvyy lends his expertise to this year’s NYDF Dance Camp!

Slavik’s career includes major amateur and professional titles, particularly with Joanna Leunis and Karina Smirnoff, including: World and Blackpool Amateur Latin Champion, a 5-time United States Professional Latin Champion as well as a Silver Medalist of the World and Blackpool Professional Latin Championships.

We are fortunate to have the esteemed Greg Smith as an instructor at the 2027 NYDF Dance Camp!

Greg Smith’s place in Ballroom history spans World Amateur Ballroom and Ten Dance championship titles, a British Open Amateur Ballroom title, British Open and World Amateur Latin bronze medals, a Professional Ballroom World final, decades of international coaching and adjudicating, and his current role as Chairman of the Ballroom Dancers’ Federation International (BDFI).

That depth of experience comes to the 2027 NYDF Dance Camp.

For dancers, this is an opportunity to learn from someone who has experienced the sport from nearly every angle, as a champion, finalist, teacher, judge, and leader.

A career that helped define an era of Ballroom dancing.

From three consecutive Amateur British Open titles to World and British Open Professional Championships, Loraine Barry built one of the most celebrated competitive careers in DanceSport.

Alongside Andrew Sinkinson, she captured major international titles including the UK Championship, European Open Championship, and World Championship before turning Professional in 1989. Later, with Luca Baricchi, she became World Ballroom Champion in 1999 and 2001 and British Open Professional Ballroom Champion three consecutive times in 1999, 2000, and 2001.

Her influence has continued through coaching, adjudicating, television, and decades of service to the dance world, earning honors including the Prince Mikasa Award, BDF Award, and Carl Alan Award.

We are privileged to have Loraine as one of NYDF Dance Camp’s instructors!

Few careers in Latin dancing carry the depth of achievement and perspective that Hans Galke brings to the floor.

A World Professional Latin Champion, 2X World Professional Latin Showdance Champion, 2X European Professional Latin Champion, 2X consecutive World Amateur Latin Champion (1989 & 1990), 6X German Professional Latin Champion, and former British Open Amateur Latin Champion, Hans has spent decades performing, competing, and shaping dancing at the highest level.

We are proud to welcome his knowledge and perspective to the 2027 Dance Camp.

Dear Friends,

A new edition of NYDF is fast approaching, and we are already counting the days until we can welcome you once again to New York City.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us for our 10th Anniversary celebration. You made it a year to remember, and we cherish every single person who helped NYDF become what it is today.

Last year’s event surpassed every expectation, yet we will always continue striving to make the experience even better. Together with our amazing partners at the New York Hilton Midtown, we have worked tirelessly to refine every detail and improve wherever possible.

Here’s what’s coming in 2027:

Kids Day will now take place over two days, with both the Trianon and Mercury Ballrooms available at all times. This will ensure ample space and scheduling flexibility, allowing us to give our future generation the attention and care they - and their parents - truly deserve.

Our Training Camp will also be held in both the Trianon and Mercury Ballrooms, providing everyone with plenty of room to practice and prepare. In addition, the Mercury Ballroom will remain available for practice throughout the entire event.

And of course, everything you have loved and come to expect from NYDF will be back:

💥All main events, including all Pro-Am divisions, in the Grand Ballroom
💥Professional Latin and Ballroom Jack & Jill competitions
💥The traditional NYDF Gala Evening featuring gourmet dinner and live music
💥A world-class international panel of adjudicators
💥NYDF’s signature sound experience and custom-created playlists
💥Top Juvenile, Junior, and Youth divisions competing in the evening sessions
💥Complimentary ballroom admission for all competitors during their respective sessions
