Collegiate Nationals 2024:

This year NYU Taekwondo sent 7 athletes to Berkeley to represent us at the National Collegiate Taekwondo Conference, returning with 5 medals.

We are incredibly proud of our athletes for their dedication, grit, and hard work. A huge thank you to our coach for traveling with us, and for your unwavering support and training throughout the year. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

To our supporters who make all of this possible, thank you. Together, we’re building something special at NYU Taekwondo—this is just the beginning!

Our team showed outstanding skill at this year’s Collegiate Nationals. Here’s how we placed:

In February our team traveled to Princeton University to compete in yet another tournament for the Spring semester! 💜🐯

We ended up sweeping the competition, winning 1st 🥇 overall in Division III, officially securing our spot in Division II for the next academic year! Special shoutout to our Women's C2 team for securing gold 🥇in their division! As a team of 2, both athletes went undefeated through their bracket to secure the top spot! Additionally, our Womens A1 team won Silver 🥈in a large and competitive bracket, as well as our Men's A1 and Women's B1 both reaching semifinals to secure 3rd place!🥉🥉

Thanks for all the athletes that traveled and competed, as well as a major thanks to our coaches for always supporting our team allowing us to achieve these successes! 💜✊🥋

We hope everyone had a great break. Here’s a look at a few moments with our C team members at Brown earlier this month. It’s great to see the progress made by those new to taekwondo! Looking forward to even more growth the rest of this semester and year. Training resumes this week. No more tournaments this semester but a lot more work to put in for taekwondo and classes. Good luck to everyone and see you all this week!
