PAIN IS RESULT OF THE INJURY, NOT THE REASON YOU’RE INJURED. 🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️
A reel came into my feed to fear monger…they got the right one 🙋🏻‍♀️. It was so egregious it made me do this post immediately.

Your was first expressed in the pain you put a sleeve on, got a shot for OR stability sneakers for. Which led to lower leg pain, foot pain, pain and of course which then led to Orthotics that locked your spine and hip in the very dysfunction it was telling you about VIA PAIN, to fix…and now made an actual structural spine issue aka now worse.

NONE of which was connected for you, because that’s what sports biomechanics and movement pattern and mobility expertise does.

So do not be fear mongered into surgery. Address your mechanics first! You have more control over it than you’re being told!

athletes IE: walks steps totally fine post marathon. They also go out after, go dancing, attend a wedding and go to WORK the next day 🤯. To name a few post marathon things. 🎥

Yeah. It’s the difference from conditioning or not. 💯

The belief that running a marathon = pain, can’t walk steps, injuries, can’t work the next or that week even… is HOGWASH BS. Thats based in the majority not training and therefore indicative of your training and conditioning. 💪🏼

This is a SCIENCE And EXPERTISE is required so that you have a healthy marathon. It’s not common knowledge and no, running a marathon does not qualify anyone to tell someone how to run a marathon. 😌

A 5⭐️ athlete sent me this, with 🙄. Because she knows this is hogwash. Just like she said…

If you feel your quads, you are doing it wrong to begin with, so IF the quads quit it’s because, they are reserves NOT leaders on any run. Your GLUTES should be leading so your hips can fire, spine can be mobile, knee can hinge, hamstrings can extend and your foot can push off and your shoulder is supported…, so if that’s not the case, that’s why you’re in pain, injured, tanking and believing that’s what running is.

Are you a quad runner? Quad dominant?

Also, since no one fuels as an endurance athlete, it’s not sustainable and burns a ton more energy, so you lose more glycogen and start eating muscle to continue to run.

I don’t know where you’re going with no muscle. 🙋🏻‍♀️
