Thankful for the Rise fam today and every day ππͺhappy Thanksgiving to all!
The Rise is a FREE outdoor fitness community founded in New York City by Dave Johnson, Anthony Burdi, and Joseph Mullins in October of 2012. No more excuses.
There are only three rules: (1) anyone can do this, (2) everyone is welcome, and (3) we will have fun. Free Outdoor Group Fitness in the Concrete Jungle. All workouts are currently at 7 AM. M: HIIT @ Washington Square Park

Effective immediately, we've decided to follow the lead of other fitness clubs across the city and put our workouts on hiatus for a bit.β£

We've always touted being out there every morning no matter what. We've worked out together in snowstorms, rain, hurricanes, sub-zero temps and heat waves. But given the current situation in NYC, we are drawing the line at pandemics.β£

We feel this is in the best interest of our workout leaders, attendees, and community at large.β£

Keep yourself active. Remember, you can do burpees, pushups, and squats anywhere! Tag us in your !β£

ππΏββοΈπͺπΏπ Rise and shine and get in shape at Boot Camp! Join us and The Rise on Wednesday mornings 6:30am-7am for free weekly Boot Camp workouts. The community-driven fitness group meets for a core body boot camp β a mix of cardio and strength training with exercises like crunches, planks, push-ups, and burpees β that will keep you coming back and seeing results. Meet on the Fountain Terrace rain or shine. No registration required.

On this day in 1930, Pluto was discovered. Pluto will always be a planet in our hearts. Today we took a tour of the solar system, learned a bit along the way, and definitely got sweaty! β£

Also, we discovered that no one could name all of the Seven Dwarfs.β£
