The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 season kicks off on Saturday, April 7. And prior to the first match, the IPL opening ceremony will take place.

Over the last decade, Bollywood stars have mesmerized fans with stunning performances, and this time too a lot can be expected from the star-studded ....The opening ceremony kicks off at 5 PM at the Wankhede in Mumbai. It will be a 90-minute affair and will end around 6:30 PM. One can watch the ceremony at Star Sports 1/HD and 2/HD.....Many Bollywood A-Grade stars are set to perform at the event.

Reports state that actors like Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez will be leading the line.

Tamannaah Bhatia is expected to join them this time.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh was supposed to perform the grand finale act, but a shoulder injury has ruled him out. Hrithik Roshan will replace the star.

Former Australia skipper Steve Smith and former vice-captain David Warner have been slapped with a 12-month ban by Cricket Australia owing to their involvement in the ball-tampering scandal that has shaken the cricket world to the core.

While Cameroon Bancroft, the player to alter the condition of the ball, has been handed with a 9-month ban

Steve Smith has also decided to give up his IPL contract and take a break from contract while David Warner will play in the cricketing extravaganza, but he has stepped down as captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, according to the reports in Australian media.

Steve Smith and Warner also stood down as captain and vice-captain of the Australian squad after the duo was found guilty hatching plot to alter the condition of the ball to gain undue advant and they gonna miss this IPL too......

The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be held from April 7 to May 27 with the tournament opener and final to be played in Mumbai.

The opening ceremony will take place in Mumbai on April 6.
