What an amazing day! It is now official, Cheryl Murphy Sports Karate Acadademy participated in our first tournament, and we did AMAZING!! Mr. Williams 3rd place Kata 2nd place Kumite. Ms Putney 1st place Kumite! We are soo proud!

Saturdays are growing. The energy the students have and the willingness to learn is absolutely amazing!!! I look forward to walking up that ramp, and hearing "Sensei Murphy!!" is priceless.

I get to see these beautiful faces every Thursday from 6-7pm. Oh, are they working hard!!!

Congratulations to Adonis Johnston. GOOOLLLDDDD!!!! The Legend continues. He is the son of Sensei Dean (DJ) Johnston of Harakenkojuku, who was the first from our dojo to make USA National Team.

This is is the first of many!!!

All I can say is WOW!!! Ms. Putney did it again! She stepped out of her comfort zone and stepped on the mat, and worked with different people on kumite. Thank you to Sensei Sylla for your guidance. We have work to do!! Proud of you Ms. Putney. 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽

We are OUTCHEA!!! So proud of Ms. Putney, venturing into new territory. She attended her first seminar, and she did it with the best, Sensei Sandy Scordo. She was nervous, but she overcame and did her thing. Thank you, EGN, for welcoming her and providing this type of training and for Sandy for sharing your knowledge.

What am amazing Day. We trained and we ate. We came together to make sure we know where came from. We are lucky to still have our fourfathers around so that our students know the lineage of Cheryl Murphy Sports Karate Acadmy and know where they come from. Both the Y kids and virual kids came out. Thank you to my teachers, and to my dojo brothers for your continued support. Thank you to the students for showing up and willing to learn and push yourselves to be better. Most of to the parents for entrusting me and US to share our knowledge through Karate and in life!

Just when I think I have no energy...I walk in and get to work with all of these lovely students. From 4-87 years old, because of their efforts, I always find a second wind!!
They have improved so much and are getting better and better every time!!
