At North Sky Kung Fu you'll find good energy, great workouts, and a commitment to keeping traditional Chinese Kung Fu alive. We practice Northern Eagle Claw Kung Fu—one of the oldest traditional Chinese martial arts. With beautiful and powerful techniques based on the gripping claws of the eagle, Eagle Claw or "Ying Jow Pai" is a full martial arts system, with sparring, forms, weapons, training and self-defense. Our classes are fun, high-energy workouts that focus on the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of Kung Fu.

Our group had a big day. Turns out Kung Fu does very well in an open tournament (meaning, there's Karate, Shotokan, Kempo, etc.) Lonnnng day, everyone did at least two events. Sifu Dario and Tamara did not win at the ultimate level (Grand Champion). But they stayed for it! Christophe (left) looks sad but he won a gold medal in his advanced category. So it was a good day, and they all practiced hard. I don't think we would pull this off at one of the National Kung Fu tournaments - mostly first place - but that's what makes the local ones fun; there are not 20 people in every event.

Tournament updates: Going to the NY Tournaments Nationals tomorrow in Long Island. We have a great team of adults this year, here they are practicing today.
